- Instructions
Setting Up
- Insert batteries into the Simon unit.
- Press the power button to turn on the game.
- Gather your friends or play solo – Simon can be played alone or with others taking turns.
How to Play
- Simon lights up one of the coloured buttons and plays its tone. Watch and listen carefully!
- Repeat the sequence by pressing the same button.
- Simon then adds another colour to the pattern. Repeat the entire sequence in order.
- The sequence gets longer and faster each round.
- If you make a mistake, Simon buzzes and the game is over – see how long a sequence you can remember!
- For multiplayer: Take turns. If a player makes a mistake, they're out. Last player standing wins!
Tip: Say the colours aloud, tap a rhythm, or invent a memory trick – whatever helps you remember the sequence!
Winning the Game
In solo play, try to beat your high score. In multiplayer, the last player left who can repeat the entire sequence wins Simon!
Classic Variations (Optional, for Extra Challenge)
- Speed Simon: The tempo increases after each round – can you keep up?
- Reverse Simon: Repeat the sequence backwards for brain-twisting fun.
- Team Simon: Play in teams, with each person adding a colour to the sequence.
Did you know? Simon was invented in 1978 and became an instant hit with its catchy lights and irresistible challenge!
